We have placed various photographs on the gallery from China, Thailand and Bangladesh for all to view. Every photograph has a story and those memories of the past from a successful career in ESL assists us with the motivation to offer a great service here at ESL Teach Abroad. We have added some photographs from Thailand where we taught English for around 5 years and implemented an environemntal health project to improve towns, cities and villages. The student's were asked to build a theme city and implement rules that were to tell those that viewed the project such as parents and other teachers how we can improve the situation in our real environments.
Our reasons for this project was to have some fun in the classroom and have students explain each rule of improvement and improve their creative writing. It was a change from the literature lessons and the students won a certificate and a small party in the classroom with icecream cakes and music for a couple of hours. It's this interaction with sutdents that guides us to find other teachers through our recruitment procedures that can really make an impact in the classroom and from our own experiences having parents getting involved with materials to build the students cities was a great form of teacher, parent communication.
